Fencing Town Lots and Pasture Around Noble

Some Noble jobs are a 150-foot cedar run behind a new house, and some are a quarter mile of field fence with a pipe corner every few hundred feet. We price both the same way: Luke Tiller or an estimator walks the line with you, marks the corners and gates, and writes up every material and labor item. We pull the city fence permit when your parcel needs one. Phone (405) 784-4424, day or night, to book a free estimate.

Pickets, Panels, and Pipe Fence for Noble

If you are searching for a fence contractor in Noble, Tiller Fence and Deck is a short trip south on US-77 from our Norman yard. We install wood, vinyl, chain link, aluminum, and Ameristar iron fencing on subdivision lots, and we build pipe fence, ranch rail, and field fence for owners with livestock or a few acres to enclose. Gates, gate operators, and storm repairs are part of the work too. Every hole is dug and every rail is hung by people on our payroll, never by a hired-out subcontractor, so the person who quotes your fence answers for how it turns out.

Luke Tiller founded the company in 2006 and still spends his days at estimates and on job sites. Beginning in 2017, we have served as The Home Depot’s exclusive fence installer for 16 of its Oklahoma stores, and deck installs in those stores come to us as well. That program holds our crews to a large retailer’s installation standards as well as our own. We hold a contractor license, a bond, and liability insurance, and our labor on a new fence is guaranteed for one full year. If a post shifts or a gate drags in that time, we come back and correct it.

Noble asks different things of a fence than a big-city suburb does. Lots on the original 1889 grid often back up to alleys and older chain link, newer additions want a clean, matching line from house to house, and acreage owners need something that holds a horse or a few head of cattle. Families who simply want a quiet, screened yard usually start with a cedar privacy fence on steel posts. Tell us what the fence has to keep in, keep out, or block from view, and we will lay out a plan for your property.

From Valley Pointe to Post Oak Road Pasture

On the north end of town, Valley Pointe is filling in with new homes off Hillsboro Drive and South Haven Drive, a few blocks from Curtis Inge Middle School on North 8th Street. East of downtown, the Twin Lakes addition along Twin Lakes Drive sits close to Pioneer Elementary on Ash Street, with Dane Park and its splash pad just to the south. Older homes near Kendall’s Restaurant on South 3rd Street fill out the historic core, and rural tracts stretch out along Post Oak Road, Fulkerson Road, and Cemetery Road toward Kenneth L. King Park. Noble has one ZIP code, 73068, and it covers town and country alike.

The ground here changes from block to block. Red clay shrinks and cracks in a dry August, then swells after a week of spring rain, which works a shallow post loose over time. Closer to the Canadian River on the city’s western edge, sandier soil gives a post less grip. We dig deeper holes, set steel posts in concrete for wood runs, and add bracing at every end, corner, and gate. Open pasture also gives spring gusts room to build, so vinyl gets reinforced posts and pipe fence corners get H-braces that keep wire tight.

A fence should match the lot it sits on. A new build in an addition usually needs a six-foot privacy run with returns to the house and a walk gate wide enough for a mower. Corner lots need a lower fence along the street side. Downtown homes with alleys often trade tired chain link for cedar or vinyl, and families with a pool or a digging dog want a barrier with no gaps at the bottom. On acreage, horse and cattle owners lean toward pipe fencing, ranch rail, or field fence with a wide drive gate for a trailer.

Section 12-492 of the City of Noble’s zoning code generally keeps fences behind the front building line, with an exception for open ornamental fencing no taller than 30 inches set at least 15 feet back from the curb. Lots over two acres may run non-sight-proof fencing up to 48 inches in front, chain link included. Fences top out at eight feet, must stay out of the sight triangle, and may not block drainage, while electrified and barbed wire fences are not permitted under that section. A city fence permit is required. Many Noble-address properties are actually county land, and either way we call OKIE811 first.

One Installer for Home Depot Fences Across 16 Oklahoma Stores

When a customer at one of 16 Oklahoma Home Depot stores orders an installed fence, Tiller has been the crew that builds it since 2017. Noble homeowners get that same team, hired directly, with no store counter in the middle.

Everything We Build in Noble

Here are the eight fence services on our Google Business Profile, each one offered to Noble homes, farms, and businesses. Open any card for details, or call and we can talk through which material suits your lot.

Warm Wood Screen

Cedar Privacy Fences

Premium cedar pickets hung on galvanized steel posts that are set in concrete, so the frame resists rot and holds up to prairie wind. In Noble, a six-foot cedar run is the usual pick for screening a backyard in a newer addition or along an alley downtown.

No Paint Needed

Vinyl Fencing

Vinyl comes in full privacy, semi-privacy, and picket styles, and it never needs paint or stain. We put reinforced posts inside every panel line rated for Oklahoma wind, which matters on open Noble lots where gusts cross a pasture before they reach your yard.

Chain Link Fencing

Galvanized or black vinyl-coated chain link is a practical way to hold dogs and kids in a Noble yard, close off a garden, or secure a shop or commercial lot. It goes up quickly, costs less per foot than solid fencing, and keeps the view open.

Pool Ready

Aluminum Fencing

Powder-coated aluminum gives the look of wrought iron without the rust. Noble homeowners use it around backyard pools, across front yards where an open style keeps the street view clear, and anywhere they want to frame a view of fields instead of hiding it.

Heavy-Duty Steel

Ameristar Iron Fencing

As an Ameristar dealer-installer, we build with pre-galvanized steel that carries a powder-coated finish. It is a strong choice for Noble estate entrances, rural homes that want a heavier perimeter, and churches or businesses along US-77 that need durable security fencing.

Farm & Ranch Fencing

Pipe fencing, ranch rail, field fence, and custom entry gates for horse, cattle, and goat owners on Noble acreage. We set heavy posts and brace every corner and end so the wire stays tight across uneven ground and creek crossings.

Custom Gates & Gate Operators

Walk gates, double drive gates, and automated entry systems sized for trucks, trailers, and tractors. We also repair and replace gate operators, a common need on Noble ranch entrances where a long gravel drive makes a remote opener worth having.

Fence Repair

Hail, straight-line wind, and shifting clay leave Noble fences with leaning posts, broken pickets, and gates that will not latch. We inspect the whole run and give a straight answer on whether a repair will last or a section should be replaced.

Fence Customer Reviews From Noble Area Homeowners

A sample of recent Google reviews left by Tiller customers. Read through the feed, and once your Noble fence is up, we would welcome your own feedback.

★★★★★

The wooden fence on one side of my property finally failed this spring. Luke Tiller came out, looked at the falling down fence, gave me options, let me decide, then had his crew remove the old crooked fence and build a new one straight down the property line. He gave the most reasonable bid for a high quality fence, then he delivered in a timely fashion. I highly recommend Tiller Fence and Deck.

Wood or Trex Composite: Choosing Your Deck Material

For a new Oklahoma City deck, the choice between wood and composite mostly comes down to upkeep. Pressure-treated wood typically lasts 15 to 20 years with proper care, while Trex composite is expected to last 25 to 30 years or more and never needs sealing or staining. We handle the permits, and every deck carries a one-year workmanship guarantee.

How to Pick a Fence and Deck Contractor in OKC

Before you sign with anyone, ask four things: are they licensed, bonded, and insured; do their own crews do the work; is there a written workmanship guarantee; and who pulls the permit. Our answers are yes, yes, one year, and us, and every job ends with a walkthrough before the crew leaves.

Repair, Restain, or Replace Your Wood Fence?

A leaning fence or a few bad boards doesn’t always mean starting over. We repair posts and sections when the damage is local, and staining and sealing can add years to a sound fence. When the whole run is failing, we’ll tell you straight that a new fence is the better spend.

Common Fence Questions From Noble Owners

What changes the price of a fence in Noble?

Total fence cost mostly comes down to linear footage, height, material, and how many gates the run needs. Rocky or sloped ground, brush clearing, tear-out of an old fence, and corner bracing on long pasture runs also add time. Chain link and field fence usually cost the least per foot, cedar and vinyl land in the middle, and Ameristar steel or pipe fence cost more. After a free visit, you get a written quote with each item listed.

How soon can a new fence go up?

A typical backyard fence in a Noble addition takes one to three days on site once materials arrive. Before that, we need the permit approved where one applies and the OKIE811 locate complete, which adds a few days. Long acreage runs, pipe fence that needs welding, and automated gates take longer, and rain can push a dig day back. We give you a start date up front and keep you posted if anything shifts.

Does the City of Noble require a fence permit, and how tall can it be?

Yes. Noble’s zoning code (Section 12-492) requires a fence permit for any fence or wall inside city limits. Fences generally max out at eight feet, must stay behind the front building line except for low, open ornamental styles, and corner lots face a four-foot limit on some street sides. The city revised this section in 2026, so we confirm current rules with City Hall. Unincorporated county parcels follow Cleveland County rules instead.

Which fence material holds up best on a Noble property?

A cedar wood fence on steel posts gives a warm look at a moderate price, though it wants a fresh stain every few years. A vinyl fence costs more up front but never needs paint and shrugs off sun and moisture. Aluminum and Ameristar steel suit pools, front yards, and entrances where you want strength without blocking the view. For horses and cattle, pipe and ranch rail last for decades. We will compare options on site.

Do you work across all of Noble and in nearby towns?

We do. Our crews build in Valley Pointe, the Twin Lakes addition, the older blocks near downtown, and on acreage along Post Oak Road, Fulkerson Road, and Cemetery Road, including properties just outside city limits. We also install fences in nearby Norman, Purcell, Newcastle, Moore, and Shawnee. Each of those communities gets the same free on-site estimate and the same in-house crews.

Can I make monthly payments on a fence?

Yes. We offer fence financing through Wells Fargo Outdoor Solutions, which lets Noble homeowners spread the cost of a new fence over monthly payments. Qualified buyers can get 0% APR for 24 months on approved credit. Let us know at your estimate that you are interested, and we will walk you through the short application and what information to have on hand.
