Create a cooler spot for dining, lounging, and relaxing.
  • More Options for Your Deck
Add lighting, a ceiling fan, or an outdoor kitchen under cover.

Jason and his crew did a great job of installing our fence. They were very timely and made sure to ask us if we had any questions regarding the fence installation.

Great service and communication! Installed a new privacy vinyl fence and even came to repair after a bad storm for me while I was out of town.

Tiller Fence did a great job replacing my old fence. They installed my first fence years ago and it lasted through several big storms and still looked good after all those years. The new fence was installed in one day. The crew was professional and did a good job cleaning up. The stain was completed today. Highly recommend.

Great cedar fence install with cap and trim. Also did the metal fence on common area to match my HOA requirement. They communicate well and get the job done quickly and we were not left with any problems.

Tiller installed several hundred feet of 7 ft high white vinyl privacy fence on my corner lot in Norman. I couldn't have asked for a more professional and customer-oriented company. And the quality of work was actually better than what I'd hoped it would be, all at a more than fair price. He did everything we agreed to, didn't cut any corners and even went over & above in many areas to ensure my satisfaction. Thank you Luke! 110% satisfied!

Luke and Bobby were excellent. Bobby built the nicest fence. His Customer Service was some of the best I’ve had. He answered all my questions and told me to go around the fence, after he built it “, and pick it apart because he wanted me to be happy with it. I I’m a single woman making the decisions myself. Sometimes I feel like I get taken advantage of. But not with Tiller Fence. I definitely give them five stars.

Questions About Getting Your Deck Covered?

Can you add a cover to my existing deck in Oklahoma City?
Often, yes. We start by checking the existing deck's framing, footings and ledger connection to see whether they can carry the weight of a roof. If the structure is sound, we build the cover on it. If not, we'll show you what needs reinforcing or whether a new deck makes more sense.
How much does a covered deck cost in Oklahoma City?
Cost depends on the deck size, whether we're building a new deck or covering an existing one, the roof style, the materials and extras like lighting or a ceiling fan. A covered deck costs more than an open deck because of the added posts, beams and roofing. We give you a written quote after a free on-site visit, and financing is available.
Do I need a permit to build a covered deck in Oklahoma City?
In most cases, yes. A roof adds weight and wind load, and attached or elevated decks typically need a City of Oklahoma City building permit. Historic districts and HOAs can add their own review. We handle the city permit process as part of your project.
What roof styles can I choose for a covered deck?
Common options include a solid roof tied into your home's roofline, a freestanding gable or shed roof, and a pergola-style cover with roof panels. We match the pitch, trim and materials to your house so the cover looks like it was always part of it.
Will a covered deck hold up to Oklahoma wind and hail?
A cover is only as strong as the way it's anchored. We size the posts, beams and footings for the roof load and tie the structure together to handle Oklahoma's straight-line winds and heavy rain. The roofing material you choose also affects how well the cover stands up to hail, and we'll walk you through those options.
Can I add lighting or a ceiling fan under my deck cover?
Yes. A solid cover makes it practical to add lighting, a ceiling fan or an outdoor kitchen area. Let us know early so we can plan the framing and wiring paths during design instead of working around them later.
What decking material works best under a covered deck?
Cedar, pressure-treated pine and Trex composite all work well. A cover cuts down on sun and rain exposure, which helps wood boards hold their stain longer, though they still need routine care. Trex composite is the lowest-maintenance choice.
Does a covered deck add value to my home?
A well-built covered deck adds outdoor living space you can use through more of the year, and buyers notice that. How much value it adds depends on your home, your neighborhood and the quality of the build, so we focus on a design that fits your house and holds up over time.
How long does it take to build a covered deck?
It depends on the size, the design and whether a permit is required. A covered deck takes longer than an open deck because of the roof framing and roofing work. You'll get a project schedule along with your written quote.
How Can I Add More Privacy to My Covered Deck?
There are several ways to create more privacy without making the deck feel closed in. Depending on your design, a privacy wall, screening, curtains, landscaping, or strategically positioned structural elements can help block views and even block wind from certain directions.
