Fence Building and Repair Across Edmond
Need a fence contractor in Edmond who does the work with its own people? Tiller Fence and Deck plans, installs, and fixes residential and light commercial fencing all over Edmond, driving up from our Norman yard on scheduled install days. Our crew handles cedar board fences, vinyl panels, galvanized or black chain link, ornamental aluminum, Ameristar steel, and ranch-style pipe on larger tracts. We also hang driveway and walk gates, service gate operators, and straighten fence lines that a storm or an old tree has pushed over. One company quotes it, builds it, and answers for it afterward.
The business began in 2006 when Luke Tiller, a veteran, opened it with his family, and Luke still measures yards and stops by job sites today. Starting in 2017, Tiller has served as The Home Depot’s exclusive fence installer for 16 Oklahoma stores, so our work is held to a national retailer’s standards as well as our own. We hold a license, carry a bond, and keep insurance in force. Subcontractors never set your posts. When the last gate latch is adjusted, a one-year workmanship guarantee kicks in, and any loose rail or sticking hinge in that window is ours to fix.
Edmond is a city of planned additions, and many of them have recorded covenants that spell out fence height, color, and which side of the boards faces the street. Pool owners need an enclosure that meets the city’s four-foot minimum, and corner homes have to keep a clear view for drivers. We read the plat, check the HOA guidelines, and plan around both before ordering material. If your goal is to block a neighbor’s view or quiet a busy road, ask us to price a cedar privacy fence or a solid vinyl run for your yard.
Fence Lines We Build From Rose Creek to Ridge Creek
In 73013, we fence homes in Forest Oaks off Ridgecrest Road, a short walk from the duck pond and trails at E.C. Hafer Park, and on the shaded streets that run toward Bickham-Rudkin Park. East of Coltrane Road, families in Fox Lake, ZIP 73034, ask for pool and dog fencing, and farther out past Douglas Boulevard the new Ridge Creek homes need fence lines on freshly graded lots. On the far west side, Rose Creek in 73012 wraps around the Rose Creek Country Club golf course. North Edmond addresses in 73025 and older homes in 73003 near the Edmond History Museum round out our map.
Across much of Edmond the subsoil is dense red clay: it swells during a rainy April, shrinks and splits by late summer, and that seasonal push and pull loosens shallow posts. Spots near creeks and ponds hold water longer, while the rolling ground north and east of town catches straight-line wind and spring hail. Our answer is depth and bracing: cedar runs go on steel posts in concrete, vinyl gets reinforced posts rated for Oklahoma wind, and every gate and corner gets a brace. On sloped yards we step or rack panels to follow grade so gaps do not open under the bottom rail.
Lot type steers most of our advice. A cul-de-sac lot with a wide back line usually wants six-foot cedar or vinyl privacy and short returns to the house. Homes with a backyard pool often choose ornamental aluminum with a self-closing gate, so the water stays visible while the enclosure meets code. Dog owners on newer lots lean toward black vinyl-coated chain link, which keeps sight lines open and costs less per foot. Acreage on the east side calls for pipe fence, field fence, and a wide drive gate for trailers.
Edmond’s zoning code sets a sight triangle at every intersection: 25 feet along each right-of-way or curb, with no construction between three and seven feet high inside it unless the Planning Director approves. The code also requires private pools to be fully enclosed by a permanent wall or fence at least four feet tall, and the city’s residential code adds that barrier openings cannot pass a four-inch sphere. Subdivision fences must follow Title 22, and many HOAs layer their own limits on top. Before we dig, we call OKIE811 so buried utilities are marked.
Everything We Build in Edmond
Each service below matches our Google Business Profile, and Tiller employees perform every one of them on Edmond properties. Tap a card to see what it involves, or call and describe what you need the fence to do.
Cedar Privacy Fences
Premium cedar pickets fastened to steel posts set in concrete, so the line stays plumb through Edmond's clay swings. A six-foot board-on-board run is the common pick behind homes on cul-de-sacs, and a cap rail adds a finished top edge.
Vinyl Fencing
Privacy, semi-privacy, and picket vinyl that never needs paint or stain. Reinforced posts are rated for Oklahoma wind, a real concern on open Edmond lots north of town. Tan and white solid panels suit HOAs that want a uniform look from the street.
Chain Link Fencing
Galvanized or black vinyl-coated chain link for dog runs, side yards, sports courts, and commercial lots in Edmond. It is one of the most affordable options per foot, keeps the view open, and asks for very little maintenance over the years.
Aluminum Fencing
Powder-coated aluminum gives the wrought-iron look with no rust to chase. Edmond pool owners use it to meet the four-foot enclosure minimum while keeping the water in sight, and it works well along front walks too.
Ameristar Iron Fencing
As an Ameristar dealer and installer, we put up pre-galvanized, powder-coated steel panels for Edmond homes, churches, schools, and businesses that want more strength than aluminum. Matching walk and drive gates keep the perimeter consistent all the way around.
Farm & Ranch Fencing
Pipe fence, ranch rail, field fence, and custom entry gates for acreage on Edmond's east side. We sink heavy posts and build proper H-braces so wire stays tight and corners hold when horses lean or a north wind pushes on the line.
Custom Gates & Gate Operators
Driveway and walk gates built to match your new or existing fence, plus automated entry systems for Edmond homes and rural drives. We also repair or replace gate operators that stall, reverse, or ignore the remote.
Fence Repair
Hail and wind damage, posts leaning after a wet spring, rotted pickets, and gates that scrape the driveway. We inspect your Edmond fence, tell you straight whether a repair will hold or a section needs replacing, and do the work ourselves.

Great cedar fence install with cap and trim. Also did the metal fence on the common area to match my HOA requirement. They communicate well and get the job done quickly, and we were not left with any problems.

Tiller Fence and Deck did a wonderful job. From the start, Luke responded quickly to my questions and changes in the quote request. I requested quotes from three fencing companies, and all three were close in pricing. So my question was: who will do the best work? Tiller Fence's crew was very hard-working, always had a great attitude, and was eager to answer my questions, ensuring I got the product I wanted. They gave me a fence that my wife and I enjoy looking at, and my neighbors are excited about it also.

Wood or Trex Composite: Choosing Your Deck Material
For a new Oklahoma City deck, the choice between wood and composite mostly comes down to upkeep. Pressure-treated wood typically lasts 15 to 20 years with proper care, while Trex composite is expected to last 25 to 30 years or more and never needs sealing or staining. We handle the permits, and every deck carries a one-year workmanship guarantee.

How to Pick a Fence and Deck Contractor in OKC
Before you sign with anyone, ask four things: are they licensed, bonded, and insured; do their own crews do the work; is there a written workmanship guarantee; and who pulls the permit. Our answers are yes, yes, one year, and us, and every job ends with a walkthrough before the crew leaves.

Repair, Restain, or Replace Your Wood Fence?
A leaning fence or a few bad boards doesn’t always mean starting over. We repair posts and sections when the damage is local, and staining and sealing can add years to a sound fence. When the whole run is failing, we’ll tell you straight that a new fence is the better spend.
